Make the Choice Clearer
Good travel information should help you compare options, understand tradeoffs and know what to do next.
I’m Sam, the traveler behind Sam’s Travel Itinerary. I built STI to make trip planning simpler, clearer, and more useful.
Travel planning should help you make decisions—not bury you in tabs, vague listicles and half-answered questions.
Most trips are really a chain of decisions. Which cruise? Which ship? Which cabin? What hotel? Which port? What does the trip actually cost? Is the deal really a deal? And what tiny detail is going to matter a lot more once you’re standing at the airport, terminal or hotel desk?
Sam’s Travel Itinerary is being built to connect those decisions. The goal is not to give you more things to read. It is to give you better information, better tools and a clearer path from “Maybe we should go” to “This is the trip.”
Cruises are a big part of STI because they bring almost every kind of travel planning together in one place: ships, destinations, ports, hotels, transportation, pricing, loyalty programs, packages and dozens of little choices that can change the experience.
I don’t want STI to be another travel site that makes you scroll through a mountain of filler before you find the one answer you actually needed. The site is being built around three simple ideas.
Good travel information should help you compare options, understand tradeoffs and know what to do next.
If something is unknown, outdated or still needs verification, I would rather say that than pretend certainty.
Deals, filters, comparisons, guides and planning tools should save you work—not create more of it.
If a detail can change the trip, it belongs in the planning.
That is why STI pays attention to the things that are easy to skip: expiration dates, verification dates, terminals, transfer details, ship differences, offer restrictions, loyalty benefits and the not-so-glamorous logistics that make travel either smooth or unnecessarily stressful.
A good-looking page is nice. A page that earns your trust and actually helps you plan is better. These are the standards I want STI to keep as it grows.
Source-aware information, verification where it matters and no pretending an unknown is a fact.
A price, deal or ship fact is more useful when you can understand what it means compared with the alternatives.
The site should do more of the work for you: fewer dead ends, fewer hidden actions and less hunting around.
The point is not the spreadsheet, the filter or the booking page. The point is the memory on the other side of it.
STI is intentionally being built as one connected planning system rather than a pile of unrelated articles.
Current offers with useful dates, restrictions and a clearer path to the actual booking opportunity.
Explore Deals KNOW THE DIFFERENCEUnderstand the brands, ships and onboard experiences before deciding which one fits your trip.
Explore Cruise Lines PLAN THE WHOLE TRIPDestinations, ports, hotels and the practical details surrounding the cruise—not just the sailing itself.
Explore GuidesSam’s Travel Itinerary may earn a commission when you book through qualifying links, at no additional cost to you.
Affiliate relationships help support the site, but they should never decide what is true. The goal is to make the commercial part obvious while keeping the planning information useful, source-aware and worthy of your trust.
I’m absolutely the kind of person who can spend too long making sure a filter, button, date or piece of information behaves exactly the way it should. That may be a slightly ridiculous personality trait.
For travel planning, though? It comes in handy.
Start with the deals if you already know you want to cruise, or head into the guides if you are still figuring out where the next adventure should take you.
